We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and materials. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and internal departments to maintain smooth procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in executing purchasing plans and ensuring timely procurement of materials and supplies.
Maintain and update supplier information, negotiate pricing, and support vendor selection processes.
Process purchase orders, verify order details, and follow up on deliveries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and manage procurement-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, and reports.
Communicate and coordinate with vendors, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve any procurement-related issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations. Qualifications & Requirements: Australia Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred. Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
