近日，房新文总领事夫妇出席墨尔本洪门民治党庆祝农历新年慈善筹款捐赠仪式并致辞，活动主办方墨尔本洪门民治党主委伍颂达，维州议员狄明贤，维州前上议长阿特金森，前白马市长钟富喜，皇家墨尔本医院、皇家儿童医院代表及我馆刘东源副总领事等百余人出席。

房总领事在致辞中高度评价洪门民治党践行社团宗旨，长期服务当地，积极投身当地慈善事业。房表示,不久前中国全国两会批准通过2026年政府工作报告及“十五五”规划纲要，为未来中国发展擘画新蓝图，也为维州对华合作带来新机遇。诚挚欢迎各界朋友赴华体验中国式现代化发展成就。

Consul General Fang Xinwen Attends Chinese New Year Donation Dinner of the Melbourne Chinese Masonic Society

Recently, Consul General Fang Xinwen and his wife attended and addressed Chinese New Year Donation Dinner of the Melbourne Chinese Masonic Society. More than 100 people, including Arthur Wu, Chairman of Melbourne Chinese Masonic Society, Meng Heang Tak MP, state member for Clarinda, Hon Bruce Atkinson, former President of Victorian Legislative Council, Robert Chong, former Mayor of City of Whitehorse, representatives from Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital, and Deputy Consul General Liu Dongyuan, attended the dinner.

In his remarks, Consul General Fang highly praised Melbourne Chinese Masonic Society for upholding its mission, serving the local community for a long time, and actively engaging in local charitable causes. Fang noted that the approval of the 2026 Government Work Report and the 15th Five-Year Plan by the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference has drawn a new blueprint for China's future development and brought new opportunities for Victoria's cooperation with China. He sincerely welcomed friends from all walks of life to visit China and experience the achievements of Chinese modernization.

The guests spoke highly of Melbourne Chinese Masonic Society's charitable donation and expressed their willingness to work with the Chinese community to promote China-Australian friendship and development of multiculturalism.
